Which just happens to be here…
After our third straight brush with walking death Tasus is having some serious mortality conversations in his head, leading to questions of inadequacy and the afterlife. So he decides to split up a donation of 400GP between all the churches, cults, charlatans, con-men, and hucksters in the keep. Basically, anyone who has any sort of promise of the afterlife gets some gold courtesy of a long dead barbarian civilization.

During a stroll on a warm summer evening after making a sizable donation at The Church of The Lady of The Wheat, Tarsus was sapped across the back of the head and drug around to the back end of the keep smithy. His attackers quickly worked him over with sap, boot, and fist. During the attack, Tarsus once caught his breath just long enough to cry out for help. The two men quickly searched him, taking the last of the coin he had on his person. A brief glint of moonlight off a slim blade was the only warning Tarsus had before a knife slashed him across the face. The hilt of the same knife was brought down on the crown of his head, dazing him again, and he was shoved into a pile of boxes. There was more yelling as two smith apprentices ran into the alley and the attackers bolted the other direction. The boys found Tarsus' battered and unconscious form half covered with crates and boxes. The boys carried him back to the inn where The Crimson Blades could tend him. Every inch of his body was already covered with bruises and his face was awash with blood.
When questioned later, the boys said the two attackers were already running the other way as they came into the alley.
Tarsus thinks there were two men. They didn't say a word. He didn't get a very good look at either of them.

Tarsus now has a facial scar: a vertical slash starting two inches above his left eye that cuts into his eyebrow, skips over his eye, then resumes from his left cheekbone down almost to the tip of his jaw.
In addition, when he returns to the inn and begins to recover, he rewards the smith's apprentices with 25 gold each. Along with the reward Tarsus asks the apprentices to keep their eyes out for anyone spending a lot of gold unexpectedly. Tarsus will also spend the next week spending another 50 gold pieces asking questions of the, uh, seedier elements around the keep for word of the crimes perpetrated against him.
He will seek out revenge, not just for his gold and health, but for the health and good name of the Crimson Blades. Who would dare attack an esteemed member of our illustrious band in the keep we call home?
I plan on having a pow-wow with Greengoat later this week about some of the campaign specifics and for brainstorming future sessions. I'll try to work something out for follow up on these events within a few sessions. Stay tuned, and we'll see what happens.
After returning from the tower of hob Tarsus drank some bad beer which unsettled his stomach. While spending an uncomfortable 40 minutes squatting over a hole behind the inn he decides that he's going to do something about it. In order to accomplish this Tarsus spends 300 GP on toilet seats and plumbing upgrades to the Keep's sewage system.

After watching a follower get eaten by a giant toad, revived, punched in the chest by an ogre, revived again, and still keep his head up Tarsus empties his bank account and spends 200 GP commissioning a statue honoring the heroism of warriors along the Borderlands.
