Hey guys, as a point of clarity, there is an old-school RPG philosphy that I would like to stick to in this campaign. And that is the ability for players to take their characters and use them in adventures that OTHER DMs run. So if, for example, another one of you players wants to take a turn at DMing an adventure with the same or similar ruleset, all the players could adventure with their ongoing characters and take the treasure and XP they earn from game to game.
This is of course goverened by the ettiquite of other DMs not totally shoveling XP and treasure at the PCs, but there is a lot of leeway to how it is done narratively. It can be by dimensional travel, or a dungeon off on the map somewhere, or whatever. Just remember that death, level drain, and mental scarring follow PCs from adventure to adventure. So if your dude kicks the bucket in one session, they are still dead for next session until raised.
This way people can take turns at playing and DMing if they want and still play with the characters they want to. Nice, huh?
